Im not really into haggling and all that but when negotiating a price on a car with the dealer is it worthwhile maybe trying to get an extended warranty thrown in.

looking at a car and offer is nearly €1k over my budget.

Just wondering is this something people would get thrown in or what typically is best bargaining options.

Depends on the warranty to be honest.

The best tool you can have when negotiating is knowledge of what else you can get elsewhere.

A lot of used cars in dealers have at least €1000 of discount waiting to be taken off the asking price.

Are you trading a car in against the newer one?
