VAT on App Store sales?

Just wondering, do Apple handle the VAT on App Store sales and thus there’s no VAT on any payments you receive from them? (Regardless of whether you’re registered or not) I presume so but just trying to wrap my head around it! Has anyone been in this situation? Thanks

The price you pay on the Apple Store includes VAT charged at the local rate.
