I stupidly had unprotected sex last night while I was drunk, didn't even think about condoms, sti/stds, pregnancy and then he gave me money and told me to get the morning after pill, it's after scaring me a lot and I really don't want my parents to find out. I have no idea what to do or where to go for it or how much it is, I'm 17, I have a medical card, can I get it on that? Will I have to make an appointment with the doctor or go into a pharmacy? What questions will they ask me? He said he thinks he did c*m inside me but I was too drunk to even know what was going on. Any help is very much appreciated.

Here’s some info on the boots website http://www.boots.ie/health-pharmacy-advice/emergency-contraception-service

Please think about how much you’re drinking as well. It’s not good that you are drinking so much you are putting yourself at risk like this. Make sure you get tested for STIs as well.

Go straight to an open pharmacy and ask to speak to a pharmacist. Bring your medical card and there will be no charge otherwise it's approx 30 euro. There is a time limit on the effectiveness of morning after pill so go as soon as possible. The pharmacist will take you to a private consultation room and will ask questions like allergies, medical history and when your last period was. Don't be shy/embarrassed as the staff administer this all the time and have heard it all.
