    Hi,

Just wondering is there anyone in the Cork area that would be able to check a home heating oil tank for wear and tear and maybe fit a new one if necessary. Thanks in advance.

Friend of mine replaced an oil tank a few weeks ago. Part of the price was that he had to remove the old tank. On the day he had trouble with his van so fitted the new tank and left the old tank sitting in the middle of the lawn in the back garden. Back he goes two days later to remove the tank only to find it full of oil. The delivery guy thought nothing of filling the old tank sitting on the grass. It wasn't propped up on blocks or anything! Delivery guy had to come back and remove the oil & put it in the new tank.

Totally off topic but I think it's a great story :)

It would often be faded/bleached because of age, if it needs to be replaced. I would use black as a replacement, if available. Less UV damage from sunlight.

Better than filling the similar water tank, I've seen that happen.
