    Morning all,

I'm only fairly new to photography. Been taking a few snaps with a Canon Powershot and moved to a DSLR recently so I decided to take an evening course to learn the bits and bobs on the camera. I'm quite enjoying it and I want to start expanding my range of equipment. I am Just wondering if anyone can recommend any good sites or stores (in Dublin or surrounding area) for any cheap/second hand gear that's in good condition.

The usual Irish sites are good , adverts and done deal but more so adverts. A good number of camera stores put stock on adverts at times. Most of the major camera stores in Dublin carry second hand stock and most will give you a small warranty with them.
If looking for second hand stuff you are better calling into the store to view as they often don’t have the used equipment on line.
Ebay can give good bargains at times especially for older equipment but make sure sellers have good feedback and watch for the postage costs.
I have purchased most of my lenses on adverts.

    Cheers for the info Harr.

I work in the City Centre (Dublin) so most of the camera stores are all within walking distance for me on my lunch hour. I'll keep an eye on adverts too. I am enjoying it but it just seems to be a super expensive hobby.

Can I ask what course you're doing? The wife is looking to do one.

Keep an eye on CeX shops https://ie.webuy.com/

They often have bargains. I bought a lens from them a while back and it was very cheap. I thought it would be in a terrible state for that money, but it was mint when it arrived.

I recently bought a second-hand lens in Conns Cameras. They seem to have a decent second hand stock.
