I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this but here goes.
I recently got a message on Facebook advertising a German made tool cabinet with tools. The brand is SchwarzBorn 2017-MK1706.
There was a contact number. When I called it I talked to a guy called Mark who said he was selling these for €380.
This sounds like good value. Does anyone have any info about this offer ?

Is it the tool set in a metal suitcase type thing?
If so they're not German at all but made in china, you get them on a website called wish.com for nearly nothing takes like 6 weeks delivery

Now your seller may be genuine...

However Amazon Germany has 2nd hand sellers with unbelievable offers which only end up in you paying money outside a regulated amazon/ebay/ system etc. and you have no recourse .

They are very persuasive at saying amazon accounts is delayed in setting them up etc.... and the very cheap goods never turn up.

there is no way you could buy a half decent set of tools and a tool box for that money. you would want to spend more than that to get a tool box that wont fall apart in 2 years let alone the tools

I'm a carpenter and have a tool chest at home for spanners etc. its about 48" wide. I got it in ept in Carlow on sale . I bought a middle of the road sockets etc (bahco, draper, just decent light work brands) nothing top of the range. I must have 2000 between the box and the tools and I could put another 1000 in if I wanted with more specialised tools
I must have 150 in screwdrivers between vda, torx, allen , phillips, pozi, nut drivers, etc

Thanks guys. It would just be for home diy use for me but I generally work on the assumption that if it sounds too good to be true it usually is.
I just thought someone out there might have bought one of these.
    Thanks for the feedback. ðŸ‘

They have some nice boxes alright, but none too cheap either. I like the "Industrial" ones from Halfords, good value when on offer/ bundle deals and I've had mine for a few years without complaint.

There are some reasonable looking tool chests on adverts at about the same money as the op.
