Friend is in the middle of a new build. Underfloor heating due in soon. Air to water system is the source of energy. The utility room was planned as the room for all the plumbing bits and pieces to go with the heating system. However there is a lot of room upstairs in a big void that it could easily fit into.
Has anyone put one of these units upstairs? What's the pros and cons. Water leakage was one concern, bit I know lots houses with the hot press upstairs which has an equal leak risk. The area could be tanked if required.

All air source units are located externally.

I understand that, it's the manifold, exchange unit, circulation pump etc I'm talking about

My unit is upstairs in a 'hotpress' room. Frees up much needed room in the utility.

You can still put the manifold for downstairs u/f downstairs behind a press r something & run two pipes up to your unit upstairs to feed the manifold.
As long as your pipework can be ran up to your unit there should be no problem.
