I booked hairtrials couple months ago. They were booked for last week but day before hairdresser rang and said could it be rearranged that one of the other girls was off sick. I said that would be ok and rearranged them for today. This was all arranged with owner. So we show turned up today with headpieces, veil etc for trials. And said can't do it today we're very busy today will have to rearrange again. This came from owner.

This hairdresser / beautician is already booked for all our hair and make up in couple weeks time for big day.
I am also a regular customer there along with the majority of the people booked in for trials aswell.

I was highly embarrassed by all this. After leaving premises I rang and told receptionist that I would be cancelling completely. Told me owner would ring me never happened.

Book someone else. Do you want this type of attitude on your wedding day?

i think they don't want to do it but are too chicken to say that - so they are going to mess you around in the hope you go somewhere else - it is crappy form but just save yourself tears and don't go back again.

Will you get someone else though at this short notice? I wouldn't cut off my nose to spite my face and would ring the owner directly on Monday to again express your disappointment. It was extremely unprofessional to turn you away like that and she does need to make It up and be prepared to do some sucking up to appease you. Is hair and make up by the same people? Are you cancelling one or both?

Hair and make up by same. Rang around this evening have hair sorted but not make up.
Afraid that same would happen on next trial or on the day.
Think myself she was hoping I'd cancel her niece getting married same weekend.

Oh sounds like she didn't realise date if niece wedding or she announced it after your booking- highly unprofessional in that case and she should have had the balls to cancel when she knew the conflict.

I can understand that you are very upset to have this happen so close to the wedding.

Is there a possibility that you could do a deal with them and spend the cash you save on something special for yourself as a treat?

She doesn’t want to do your wedding because she wants to do her nieces instead.
The beauty business is full of this type of amateurish boorish carry on.
I hope you didn’t give her any money.
Your replacement hairdresser will know a make up person.
Don’t contact her any more it’s not worth it.

I had it booked well before her niece announced date. I wouldn't have minded if her niece wanted booking would understand. Not saying that this is reason but bit of coincidence all the same.
I would of had plenty time to do trials somewhere else and be happy with hair and makeup.
Feel really let down. I get my hair down there every week and so do a few of other girls. And that's why booked there.

Her niece doesn't live in our town but is getting married in it. So she won't be getting business from any of them again on regular basis.if this is why she's being like this to do nieces wedding she will miss our business down the line.

It is a shabby way to be treated and very unprofessional.

I always feel that the beauty business is riddled with back stabbing and bitchiness and a lot of totally hypocritical insincere fawning over customers, with nothing behind it. You’d actually be better off with someone you don’t know, they might at least give you an honest opinion.

If it's true that she's putting you through this nonsense right before your wedding as a way to get you to cancel, I'd be so livid at her cruelness I wouldn't actually let her know I've booked someone else! Then she'll know she's won! That's just me though 😈
