advice on being a self employed electrician

I'm thinking of Becoming a self employed electrician I done the testing course, now I just have to get public liability insurance and register with safe electric And register with revenue. but I'm wondering is there anything I have to watch it for tax wise or hidden charges any advice welcome thanks
