Current state of property development market

    I have about 3 acres of roadside land in a rural settlement area. I was thinking of auctioning it for development. I am just wondering how people are finding the current market, is there actually any money to be made in housing development these days?. I would have thought with the current property market there would be massive demand for housing but I dont see much devlopment going on ?

    Does your site have planning, what is it zoned for - if for residential: what is the density required etc ... I would be finding these out for myself first and this will help you put a value on your site :)
