    Hey all,
We have lived in our house since sept 2006, so it would of been built earlier in 2006.
We have a big insulation problem, out house is cold, drafty and doesnt hold heat and we have condensation probs. We removed our false fireplace and found the developer actually used less than half of the insulation thickness as advertised. Our utility room and downstairs bathroom can be as cold as outside.
The question is, will getting the walls pumped help this? I am finding it hard and confusing to find any info on it!
Are we entitled to any seai grants?? Hope this is ok to ask, very clueless on it all !
    Tia!

    1. Depends on the wall makeup but based on your "draughty" and "doesn't hold heat" comment, adding extra insulation rarely addresses this. If, as I suspect, you already have some sort of internal drylining, then pumping the walls with bonded bead will do little to improve the situation. How to find out what is going on is to have the house tested first for heatloss by an independent professional.
    2. Probably, but might well be a waste.
