Companies that don't deliver to Parcel Wizard/Motel/Addresspal

    I recently placed an order with laredoute.co.uk, only to have it cancelled a few days later as they 'only dispatch goods on an account with a UK residential address'. I had paid by PayPal and set delivery to Parcel Wizard. The order simply vanished from my account and I only found out why when I emailed them. The payment has been taken from my bank account and I'm really hoping that it just drops off after a few days.

    The item cost £50 reduced from £125 in the sale. Laredoute.com does deliver to Ireland but the same item costs 113.40 Euro reduced from 189 Euro in the sale. :eek:

    I vaguely recall reading somewhere that other customers were having problems with retailers refusing to ship to Parcel Wizard/Motel/Addresspal but cannot find any threads on here discussing this. Has anyone else had a similar experience with other UK/EU retailers?

    TLDR: Paddy tax, companies dont want their UK branches cannibalising IRL sales. Tough beans.

    Thanks Ed E. I wouldn't mind but all their goods are shipped from France. They seem to operate as a catalogue company int the UK with credit offered at extortionate rates of interest so that probably is a factor in the price difference too.
