06 fiesta has the following tyres

    Front195/50 r16
    Back 195/45 r16

What would be correct pressure for front/back

The manual does not give these numbers or combinations exactly

Is there not a sticker inside the driver door surround with the pressures for various loads on it?

Why does your car have different size tyres on the front and back?

May also be inside fuel flap.

Very unusual to have smaller tyres on the back.

ALso as far as I know. 195/45R16 is the correct size for the car.

Different widths are normal, but different sidewall sizes?

i don't know why they are different. is it a danger?

The front of the car sits higher than the back. It’s not dangerous as such but the car is designed to have wheels all the same size.

It's not unusual to have a staggered wheel setup on some cars but the Fiesta is not one of them. Sounds like someone got a set of 195/50/r16 tyres either cheaper or handier than the stock 195/45/r16 on the rear.

Not a danger, just kinda odd

Check door jamb, there is often a sticker there with pressure recommendation from manufacturer.

what differnce would it make. less mph?

It's the height or wall of the front tyres that are higher than the rears which means the front of the car is sitting slightly higher than the back. Your speedo's accuracy is probably off a little as is the car's balance but not to a degree it's dangerous. Just make sure when the front tyres are up for replacement that you replace the front tyres with the same size as those on the rear so they are the same size all round.

the 195/50 on the door jamb sticker says 195/50/r15, not r16. ther eis no pressure given for r16

    my tyres
    Front195/50 r16
    Back 195/45 r16

What pressure would i put in each? Thanks all

PS. I have trouble with the quote here

Follow the instructions as if you had right tyres on.
Put same pressure in both if in doubt.

Re pressures, do people tend to just use manufacturers recommended setting? Had read somewhere before that max tyre pressure per the tyre itself less 10% was optimal.

That’s nonsense. Max tyre pressure is massively higher than recommended pressure.

The pressure for the correct tyres (195/45) is 31 front 26 back.

Nearly every car I've had has fluctuated between 28 and 32!
