    Hi all,

    Hope this is the right place to ask this.

    I recently moved back to Ireland and have picked up some contract work with a few places. I am providing services to companies.

    I am invoicing one and they are asking for VAT number etc.

    Since I just moved back, I am not set up for that just yet, and the sole goal of this contract work is to tick me over until I land a full-time job.

    Ideally I would like to have this sorted out ASAP, would it be best to go into the tax office or can I register for VAT online and get a number quickly to complete the invoice?

    Sorry for the panicked thread, in a bit of a fluster.
