I have an integrated Indesit dishwasher.

all the lights come on but sometimes it will not run a cycle. if I open the door and pour a pot of water in and close the door again. turn off and on it will drain - no problem. I often have to do this and then turn off and on again for it to run a full cycle

Any ideas? about 3 years old

Here's some random ideas and things I have done in the past.
Not an expert but has it been moved recently and work done lately?
I would check all filters, pipes going in and also drainage out. Also , run it high temp with salt thing filled.

Can you pull it out and check behind?

Another non-expert here, but here goes.

Our dishwasher went on the blink a few years ago.

I decided to investigate. Pulled out the dishwasher to discover that the pipes under the sink tap had sprung a leak.

We never noticed as the water was seeping into the ground.

I got the leak fixed, primed the dishwasher & problem solved!

Apparently dishwashers rely on a certain amount of water pressure to work correctly.

    Just a thought.

not a easy one to diagnose over the net but there is the possibility that the d/w has moved back a fraction in the unit preventing the door from activating the door micro switch and thus preventing the machine from starting. if you undo the fixings and move it out a little and it works ok don't push it back as far when relocating.
