    Are you sure you won?

If you are in Dublin, you could always drop into Marconi House, there's a reception desk there, could ask.

Ring them. (01) 8049000 is their main reception, ask to be put through to someone connected with the show.

Never understand why people think tweeting is an effective method of contacting people.

Probably because a lot (not all!!) of people working in the background/production side of radio stations these days, which is a traditional form of media, think they are working in a social media company and that social media contact rules apply!

I've yet to receive a prize I won from Today FM after 3 years !

This seems to be a very common complaint with Today FM in particular.

I won two Bobble Head Rays on Ray D'Arcy's show back in the day, and received both promptly and without fuss.

But then to be fair, I won €4 on Ray Foley's show once and never received that. So swings and roundabouts. (I never followed up on it after giving them my address when they called me back after winning it btw, so I'm not exactly great at following my own advice :P )

They don't like the public shaming I guess.

OP, I won a prize on Ian Dempsey. They said it would be with me within 4 weeks. I got it around the 10 week mark after many calls/mails/tweets.

I've found Twitter to be very effective in the past, as an opening point anyway. Even worked with Amazon when a pair of jeans I had ordered went missing.

I won a prize over a month ago and Im still waiting on it. I've won a couple of things before, only one other time did I not receive it but got them once I reminded them that I was waiting on it. Give them a shout

From what I can see here on boards, Today FM aren't that good at sending out prizes. I've seen people mention calling and emailing and getting no good from it. Whereas calling them out on it in social media *seems* to work a bit better.

IF you yourself have a meaningful social media presence that is true, they don't want the bad PR. But if you've a minuscule number of follower and your tweet doesn't gain any traction, it's all too easy to ignore, unless the Social Media Manager is literally the only one in the building who cares.

Phoning reception once a week, escalating to once a day after a few weeks have passed, is much harder to ignore.

Plus, jumping straight to "calling them out" on social media is just petulant and childish. If they don't respond to calls, sure, lambast them. But sending an email to a show's email address (which might receive hundreds of emails a day) and firing a tweet out (which may fall between the cracks as they likely get a ton of mentions every day) does not, to me at least, equate to a reasonable way of going about getting your prizes delivered.

Would sending a written letter get a better response?

Not sure if actual suggestion or jibe at old man wnolan... :P :P :P

It might though. It might be just unique enough for them to say "Sh*t, let's sort this now."

Or it might just be shredded. :pac:
