Company Paid Dental Insurance Tax Relief

    Hi All,

I recently moved to a company that provide health and dental insurance for me and my dependents. Previously I had my own dental insurance policy with tax relief at source calculated at 20% of the premium. Regarding the gross health insurance paid by my employer I am aware I can claim 20% per adult up to €1000 & 20% per child up to €500 on the medical insurance.

My confusion is in relation to the dental insurance, I can see my company received about an 11% tax reduction on the dental policy, I am charged BIK on the gross amount. From the information I have been able to scrape together on revenue I can see that tax relief for dental insurance is only for non-routine dental insurance, my dental insurance is both routine and non-routine and from what I can see it warrants a revised 11% tax relief, but I have no idea how I can go about claiming this 11% back, there is no options on the FORM 12 for revenue.

Does anybody know how to go about claiming this back

    Evd.
