Hp Pavillion hanging

    Hi,

    Have a friend w10 hp pavillion laptop, opens ok starts windows and then hangs.

    sometimes its ok for 5 mins other 10 secs.

    a lot of updates were done last month and then it started.
    If I goto "recent installed updates" - can I uninstall them one by one - all MS updates ?
    Can I do a bulk uninstall ? there was no restore point created unfortunately.

    Have it "safe mode" - any point in trying to uninstall lots of updates or just do a full refresh.
    Q - will the reinstall have MS office pre-built into it ? just re-activate ? codes ?

    If safe mode works the first thing you should do is check the event log to see if it points to the fault rather than poking around in the dark.

    ending up doing a refresh and all works good now.

    Not fully sure what happened - but setup a restore point this time too.
