eFibre Install

    Hi,

Just a quick query on an eFibre install.

Parents have just had eFibre installed. Installer brought the cable to the closest point of the house, drilled through the wall and installed the "box" and router inside at that corner. The result is now that the Wifi will only reach a small section of the house without boosters. This is an inconvenience but we can get around but....

The original access point was only 5 feet from where they installed. Should the engineer not have installed into the original access point, meaning that the current cabling within the house can be utilised? I presume this is going to mean they are going to lose their landline and alarm connections when the other line connections is dropped?

    Can anyone shed some light?

Does the existing copper phoneline come in overhead from a pole or via an underground duct?

Have they transferred their existing phone service to the new fibre connection, VOBB/VoIP, i.e. connected their home phone directly to the new router?
