I'm seem to be doing nothing but asking questions.
Anyway. I've posted before about cracking the screen on my s7 edge and while the phone is still usable it's more than annoying.
My mother is on the same network (Vodafone) and due for an upgrade but is more than happy with her note 4.
I've been looking at the s8 and the s8+ and would be happy with either.
I know the s9 is launching soon so I'm really just wondering will the price of the s8 drop after launch or generally does it take longer to see a drop?

Would you not be better off repairing the S7. Even if you do go down the route of getting the S8, you could easily sell the S7 for good money if it was in good condition.

I've been quoted anywhere from 250 to 300 to get it repaired. I don't really want to fork out that money on a phone that will be "old"

As for selling the s7 I certainly would I just have no idea how much you ask for it. It is working great just has this crack across the screen going to a small web-like crack on the right side.
I'll have a look on eBay and the likes and see if I can gauge how much to sell it for.
