    starting off with me:
    • lack of a dvd writer
    • insufficient usb a ports
    • insufficient usb ports of any size
    • no 3.5 mm audio port.
    • no sd card slot of any size

what has stopped you from buying that magic machine?

What laptop doesn't have a 3.5mm jack? Haven't come across that before. And the sooner dvd drives disappear the better!

For me it's either the screen or battery life that are the big ones. Any laptop I get has to have at least 6 hours battery when browsing, and the screen has to be sharp with good colours and contrast. Another must have for me is USB C. It's the future, and having thunderbolt 3 is a plus.

Screen. It's like hey! This is a great laptop, look at all my specs. And then it's a 720p screen.

Oh, and nothing more irritating than a bad trackpad.
