I’m after getting a new car with 1/2 cirrus (cream) leather 1/2 fabric.

I’m thinking of putting Gtechniq i1 on it but concerned that it might stain. Is there any risk?

Should be no issue with gtechniq products. But always best to test on an inconspicuous area first.
Would be worth coating the leather too.

When coating one or the other, I'd mask of the threshold between the two.

You'll no issue with I1, it doesn't stain fabrics at all. On half and half interiors I tend to spray the centers/fabric parts first and then follow on with applying Leather Guard as it's much tidier to use.

Gtechniq I1 won't stain but from my experience it can leave a not-so-pleasant smell in the car.

How long does the smell last for?

I normally leave the doors open for the day after application to try get the solvent smell out as quick as possible

In my experience only a few hours and I've coated a few new cars now. We typically leave them overnight to gas out with either windows cracked or doors open.
