I have a 2012 vauxhall astra 1.3 diesel and was driving down the motorway and white smoke came from exhaust and went dead. Lots of oil everywhere under car and at the back. How much we talking roughly to get a new engine or does anyone have any suggestions on what i should do?

Is the engine damaged beyond repair or can it be rebuilt? Get a price for repairing your existing engine and compare it against a price for a reconditioned engine. A brand new engine would be very expensive.
