    Hi

I've a NAS which is setup as JBOD.
I have 4x2tb drives and I backup to some desktop USB drives every now and then. (Western Digital My Books)

I am looking to get rid of the My Books and wanted to know whats the best way to move forward.

Should I buy a new NAS with 4x2tb and backup over the network every now and then?
Should I just buy 4x2tb drives and then is it possible to swop those discs into the NAS and copy that way? (seems far more cumbersome than getting another NAS)

BTW Current NAS won't let me go over 2tb per bay so upgrading to 4x4tb is not an option.

    Thanks
    M

Expansion/rebuild options depend on what the current NAS is.

    Remember: 3 is 2, 2 is 1, 1 is None.
