Moving my Virgin Broadband internet point.

I’m currently renovating a house and want to move my internet access point. I want to run the cable from the outside of the house to the new point myself while I have the walls open and floorboards up. Will most coaxial cables be suitable for the job? I’m with virgin broadband if that makes any difference!
