Flashing lights on Hotpoint washing machine

My Hotpoint Washing Machine HE8L493G stopped working and the console is displaying flashing lights. The five lights at the bottom of the attached image are flashing rapidly. Any idea what the problem might be? Washing machine is only 16 months old. Instruction manual tells me to turn the machine on and off (has no effect)…

Washing machine is only 16 months old. Instruction manual tells me to turn the machine on and off (has no effect) and if that doesn't fix it to call their engineer.
