I am looking for a full size car that fits 4 comfortably with a decent boot between 2008-2011 approximately €5-6k. Any recommendations?

I have been told to avoid French cars as the electrics can be unreliable. Is this the case? The C5 does look like a sweet car

I think I would look for a Mondeo 2.0tdci , possibly an auto version
    Plenty to choose from.
I take it you want a diesel.

I'm don't really mind petrol or diesel. The majority of the cars of this size and age seem to be diesel. In the past year I have driven just over 20000km.

    2008 1.9tdi b5 superb

You'd buy one with half your budget and it ticks all the boxes.

2012 facelift d4d avensis could be a contender either but I'd say the budget is too tight.
