Tell the owner of the other dog if you can. Vet checkup.

If you had a cut that size (not from a dog bite ) would you go to your GP or to hospital.

If the answer is yes, bring your dog to the vet.
If the answer is, " no, I'd put a plaster on it", then don't worry.

I have no doubt, others here will disagree with me.

The issue that you are most likely to face if it is a small cut is infection. If the area is red/hot/oozing then a definite trip to the vet for anti biotics. If you are in any way concerned about it even without these symptoms then a visit to the vet would do no harm.

You can get An antibacterial powder for small animals dogs/cats in any vetinary suppliers or if the wound is a bit larger you can get an aluspray in any farm co op it’s a aluminium powder barrier for wounds, wouldn’t be without it.

Wash it out well with clean water. Then do it again twice a day and until it's healed. Don't just assume it will be fine. Bite wounds need to be kept scrupulously clean and go nasty quick

Brought to vet he’s on antibiotics for 7 days and told me to keep the 2 bites clean with warm water and salt 2 times a day

You can't compare like size for like size as your comparison doesn't take into account the bacteria present in a dogs mouth. No matter how small the bite, the chances of infection are high from the bacteria present in the biting dog. Same can't be said of a "cut that size" - that you admit would not be from a dog bite. A larger cut from a kitchen knife may well heal very well without any medical intervention compared to a single tooth incision from a dog.

If it's a small nick, I'd always observe the dog for 24hrs to see if there's any sign of lethargy or infection. It also depends on where it is on the dogs body, whether it's in a place that they can reach to lick it, as you might need to get the dreaded cone to prevent self infection.

Bad idea for a puncture wound to cover with a plaster. Yes rinse it out with boiled salt water. A syringe without the needle would be helpful.
