Everest Base Camp travel insurance

Hi All,

Looking for some information from anybody who has trekked to Base Camp, myself and my wife are doing our own non guided tour and it seems some of the insurance companies wont insure us when your not with a tour guide/Group.

I am currently ringing round the different companies but just thought I would check here too, anybody here do similar and use a certain insurance company?

If you join mountaineering ireland you’ll have access to the insurance policies provided by the British mountaineering council

Should have no difficulty getting insured

check out the Austrian Alpine Club. Insurance is included in membership, extra/different cover is required if you want to go above 6000m
