Go into your local pub and ask for a token for the cigarette machine. It's what I use

English 2p coin works in the Aldi trolleys

    Great excuse to give blood.

They have the keyring tokens with a 1 and 2 euro on them at the moment

Wouldn't that be more difficult to come by than a €2 coin?

Me? If I find myself caught short by having no cash (paying by card) I usually give the trolley a good yank. They pop free fairly easily ;)

50 cent coin works fine in Lidl (must check in Aldi) also a 50 cent coin is often just large enough to open the mechanism but small enough so you can slip it back out again :o

Depends on the trolley mechanism, at one stage Lidl had a mechanism that allowed small fingers to pull the one euro coins back out so you'd get kids wandering around stealing the money out of the trolleys

I can recommend a trolkey, it costs €3 and you keep it on your keyring.

I find that 1 or 2 euro coins works just fine, keep a couple in the car.

Some charity shops sell them. I bought mine last daffodil day.

I have one on my key ring that the car dealer provides you with. Only noticed it last week.

I have the car a year.
