My wife and I have to leave the country in March for over twelve months due to work. This was unexpected. We have a dog which is a cross between a sheepdog and a huskie. He is a beautiful dog looks like a fox with a lovely nature. He was a rescued dog and we have him for over two years. He is lively and he needs exercise and a large garden. He gets on well with other dogs. He has got fond of living in the house and stays in the back kitchen at night. I know it is a long shot but has anyone any ideas what I could do with him. I am living in the Roscommon area

If he came from a rescue you'll need to contact them as almost all have a policy that dogs must be returned if circumstances change.

Why are you unable to bring the dog with you?

OP there is a rehoming thread in Animals & Pet Issues and you may get a better response if you post it there.

But I would check with the rescue first as they may take him back.
