    Hi all

Moved into a rented house a few months back and it's seen better days. The hot water tap on the kitchen sink has seen better days and has just come clean off leaving water flowing freely into the sink

Don't see any way to turn it off under the sink (older house) and not sure what to try in the hotpress.

    Help!

You can turn it off out at the meter outside

Plug the tap with a cork or something.

Called into one of the neighbours to ask where the shut off should be, but his is under the sink whereas there's nothing under mine.

Still, he was able to get the tap back on so problem solved at least.

Must find out where the shut off is though

You need better pics of the hot press.

I'd say it's the gate valve to the left of the Addis basin in the 2nd pic. If it's not that is there another valve on the pipe to the far right on the 2nd pic?

There is... there's one on the left pipe as you said, a middle pipe with nothing, and then one on a third pipe on the right.
