Like the title says. I was checked the VRT price a couple of times Thursday/Friday. Bought the car Saturday. Checked the VRT price sat and it's gone up by €200!

I'm even certain there was more options when selecting the cars version but not 100% on this but I'm certain it's gone up.

The seller had the price of the VRT in the online ad so I checked it myself and he was spot on! That's how I know for sure it's gone up! Are revenue using Ryanair cookie style tactics or what?

You’ve probably selected a different version.

I think if you print it off the price is valid for certain amount of time as long it it the right vehicle selected

I have never seen it changing in the middle of the month.Any changes happen on the 1st of the month.

Nope, its a fairly specific version. The guy selling it had it right, I did it and got the same as him,a few times. When I do it now it's different.

It can change any time. It is normally done on the 1st but I have seen it change other times too.

So it can change anytime. it actually only went up by 125e. Still though, hadn't factored for that.

Yes it is. I have just checked. It is valid for the day of enquiry. I would suggest if it was lower print that estimate off and show them. I doubt it will make a difference, they will check on the day anyway. Whatever they say what is the quote on the day that is what it is. And as for appealing the price don't waste your time or energy

Only valid for the same day, so if he checked it yesterday and the price goes up the next day, he's got no come back. Waste of time arguing..

Having a print out of a price means nothing really. It's just a valuation. The amount of people who pick the wrong model version and co2 is chronic. Just because you print it and bring it in for your appointment does not mean that's what you pay. The revenue system in the NCT centre is way more detailed than the Ros calculator.

Loads of people appeal after paying and get refunds. Happens all the time.

Well on the website it says the price is valid for the day of enquiry. Yes you are correct many pick the wrong model. But if it is the right one. Then there is no problem. The price you see is the price you pay. As for appealing. They have to get market value from a main dealer. Is that right?

We showed a vehicle for vrt and the price was not available. When the price was given some days later.we went to pay the exact price they had given and they told us it had increased by 130 euro. Very frustrating when you get a bank draft for the amount. As for appealing. Would I bother. Absolutely would not spare a minute of my time.

Why do the public not have access to the same pricing system as the Nct for vrt purposes. Many people only purchase vehicles from the UK because of the vrt pricing on the Ros system.
