    Hi,
Anyone have any ideas on what kind of paint to on some stairs to dog proof them?
He's used hardwearing floor paint on them already, in 3 weeks it's badly scratched, what has worked for other dog parents?

Maybe teach your dog to walk nicely on the steps. We’ve done that to ours for indoors as we have herringbone flooring.

Are your dogs nails very long? Would clipping them help I wonder? (Vet or good Groomers job)

They are trimmed regularly, I think even with the shorter ones, its the speed they run down and suddenly stop on the way down to meet their favourite humans, that's causing the scratches.

Our dogs nails are trimmed regularly too. You can see from the scratches where they're digging in to get a good run at the stairs. Unfortunately we've just accepted that our stairs is going to be marked unless we do a carpet runner down the middle or a stair gate to stop them going up and down. I just call it the rustic look lol.

    Could you put carpet down?

    Clear non-slip tape maybe?
