Hi, am currently looking at Soak bathrooms myself. Did you get any reviews or order anything from them?

Hey can I check - i saw soak at self build and when i contacted them re a quote - i ended up getting a quote from Soak.com- which is a great price but no connection to the one from self build which are NI based.
The quote i got from NI crowd was significantly more expensive.

Wondering should I chance the UK crowd. Would love to hear feedback

They are now part of the Wolseley Group who are a large builders supplier in UK. I think they buy all their own kit direct from China which is where the great prices come from and then have to charge far more for branded goods so if you want decent quality it will cost more.
Shipping the kit to Ireland will increase costs. I did buy a bathroom from bathrooms.com in UK last year who were delivering to Ireland for under €50. It was OK quality especially the shower screen door (with P bath) but then they stopped doing Ireland as it could not have been viable.
The couriers had broken the bath panel and this was also replaced foc so no complaints from me but I guess you are always gambling on cheap Chinese products unless the supplier is honest not to send out the real rubbish.

Their 10 year warranty is almost unheard of in terms of plumbing, Even Grohe or Ideal Standard dont have 10 year warranty.

But as above, it depends on how honest they are.
Its a gamble by the looks of things.
They are quite new so people mighnt be able to review their stuff yet.

Check any english based forums maybe?

There were many double glazing companies offering 10 years or longer. Most went bust by the time you needed the warranty. Weaterglaze must have had a dozen variations of their name as they folded & reopened.

A warranty is only good if the company offering it is still in business.

I'm very wary of UK warranties, with the brexit looming some won't honor them

Just brought some bits from Soak, seems fine so far, only quibble would be the way they dispatch goods to Ireland.

Apparently, truck leaves UK for Belfast on Friday, when stuff is received into Belfast they do a QC on the packaging and if it's found to have been damaged they ship the whole lot back to UK and you have to wait until the next Friday for it to be re dispatched.

Luckily ours arrived on time other wise we'd have had a plumber and nothing to plumb lol

    Experience of both places.

Soak online is a UK based crowd, I ordered quite a few things from them recently when doing a full bathroom refurb.

We also visited Soak in Belfast, the showroom. They do very nice stuff, but they know how to charge! In fairness, I'd say they only sell quality materials.

Niman - how did you find the quality of the soak stuff? I'm thinking of ordering this sliding shower enclosure and probably a tray waste etc.

    Thanks

Getting ready for full bathroom refurb, looking at their stuff online which is very competitively priced, is worth driving to NI, would they be stocking whats online ?

Following up otherwise and waiting for reviews

    Thanks

I bought 1 sink from them.

Arrived smashed so I did not accept delivery.
That was 2 months ago, Every now and then I call and spend 20 mins on hold, talk to a rep, back on hold for 10 mins to be told its on the way.
This has happened at least 5 times!

    No tracking number for replacement.
    Shockingly bad afterservice.
This is a standard item they have which I would assume they have many in stock!

I bought a Replacement Toilet, sink, under sink cupboard and all the various wastes, taps, fittings to go with them from soak, com recently.

The prices are very competitive alright but as for customer service and delivery, forget about it!!

I was a month waiting for delivery and that was only after numerous phone calls to try and get them to deliver. The chat feature and email on their website is a waste of time, they don't respond full stop.

Every time I phoned I got someone different on the phone, that was after a minimum fifteen minute wait to get through each time. The story was also different each time. They don't apparently don't have any way of tracking an order themselves, ridiculous!

The only way they could confirm eventually that my order was even sent out was to phone the warehouse and have a guy manually check the stock, crazy stuff.

I was told everything from its on truck now in the yard, to oh it'll be with you in two days time, none of which proved to be true.

They deliver through Belfast using a courier company called Breezemount who only deliver down south when they have enough to fill a van which means you could be waiting a long time, even after they have received your order in Belfast.

On the positive side, the goods are all packaged well, in individual Soak.com logo'd cardboard boxes or soak.com plastic poly bags. The two lads from Breezemount who delivered my stuff also were extremely polite and lovely lads who had left Belfast at six O' Clock on the day they were delivering to me, I was the first delivery of the day and their van was full to the brim of other deliveries for the South which they told me were for places far and wide. A long day for them!

As for the quality of the stuff, I have no idea yet, haven't opened anything, waiting for the plumber to install everything. I'll post an update regarding the quality and any feedback from the plumber regarding same when I can.

In short, so far I'm happy with the price, very unhappy with the effort involved in getting them to deliver and their lack of response. Not sure of quality as I've said. Would I buy from them again? Being honest, no, I don't think it was worth it.

If they upped their game regarding customer service and responding to customers and could provide verifiable delivery tracking details then I may change my mind.

Another 45 mins on the phone today to see where we are with my delivery.
I had to call GLS to as them what story was, Because SOAK will not do this, GLS told me it arrived broken and they told SOAK,
SOAK are telling me they have no correspondence of that call.
And I've been told they will check with their logistics team and will call me back.

I used them doing a house refurb at the beginning of the year..
There are 2 sites, one for uk www.soak.com which resolves to https://soak.com/en-gb/
one for ireland which is ie.soak.com
They may have different prices for same item on each and i found that it doesnt always go against the irish site. Also some products they have on uk site, they list on irish site too, but are listed as out of stock but cant actually be got here at all. (e.g. i wanted a 1600 length L shaped bath - readily available in uk, but told on phone they don't ship here - got the 1700 instead - tighter fit for my dimensions)
Anyway... Found them easy enough to contact on the phone to be honest - but Im going back to January - maybe theyve gotten busier since...

Had a minor bit of hassle with them in the beginning, I had ordered stuff online, rang up to put order on hold (because there was stuff i needed to add/remove after consideration), but when i went to add stuff to the order afterwards they said they would have to treat that stuff as new order and charge shipping (shipping is free over a certain amount) - whatever way their admin worked out their system couldn't handle what i wanted to do.
So solution for me was to cancel the whole order and order again online.

After that everything went grand, everything (bath, shower screen, 2 showers, 2 toilets, 2 vanity units, 2 sinks and various taps and fittings) arrived in a yellow reg truck, 2 lads were sound as mentioned above, they brought everything in and let me make sure everything was present.
We've been in the house a few months now and cant say anything against the quality so far.

Apologies for the delay in replying, hadn't checked the thread in a while.

That actually looks like the enclosure I bought. Yeah, good quality ok, and was cheaper than I could find anywhere locally.

Thanks Niman. Could I be cheeky and ask you to post a few photos? Was the install straight forward? Thx

I can answer my question. Today I got delivery.
I bought toilet, bath & basins and some accessories 3 weeks ago. Cannot contact them to track order.
Before they delivery one day, I got the call by delivery guy.

All process took 14 business days.

Im still awaiting a replacement or refund....

Good thing i didnt order a lot.

Ordered some radiators off them. They arrived eventually, I had got a shipping note, then zero information for about two weeks and no rads. Emailed them... dont think I ever got a response. Tried ringing them several times while on long journeys home, was on hold waiting to talk to an agent for 40 mins plus several times, never actually spoke to a human. Another week later the rads arrived, a bit of shipping damage (the mounting brackets had been squished) which I didn't bother chasing up. I wouldn't buy from them again even though the price was good, if you had a real problem it would be a real pain trying to get satisfaction. If you search online you will see their customer service is very badly rated.

Just leting all know, Im still waiting on my refund.

They refuse to acknowledge there is a manager to speak to, I have 7+ emails responded to. Last time they said a manager would call me back, never happened.

On hold again now at the moment 14 mins and waiting.

I used them, the deliveries were late on the 2 occasions I ordered, had a Plummer on the Monday as I was told they would arrive (the Friday before I even rang to double check) but they didnt show till wed, after about 5 calls to them talking to different people every time.

also the quality is low, you get what you pay for. Dents and scratches in the shower try already
