Car pulling to the left

I'm not sure for how long it's been happening but the car (Hyundai i40) is pulling to the left .

I thought it was because not tracking or wheel alignment.. the tyres where near bald.

Yesterday I got full service .. 4 new tyres etc.

    Tracking was done.

I took the car from garage and went for a drive.. car still pulling to left.

Back to garage and they swapped front wheels around.. back out for a drive and it's still pulling.

Back to garage and they do wheel alignment.

    Still the same issue.

What could the issue be and what could it cost to repair. ?

One thing I noticed was the steering wheel kinda rests a little to the left.

I know nothing about cars so I can't even guess what could be wrong.

I'd like to get this fixed but if it costs to much I'll have to put it off until next month.

    Thanks

Breaks ECU sounds like it's on its way out. It could be bias on the left wheel. Sounds like slight break pressure applied. Costly to fix

Road camber can draw an awful lot of cars to the left, some are more susceptible to it than others but virtually any car you take your hands off the wheel of while driving will go left.

If the tyres are wearing evenly then I'd probably just accept it for what it is, a characteristic as such.

This is a good bit of pull..

If i was driving at about 40kph and took my hands off the wheel i'd sit the path in about 2-3 seconds. ( on a straight road )

the car is a 131 -- I full set of brake pads fitted in the service and the garage didn't say anything about anything else they seen wrong.

It was pulling to the left before the service.. but thought it was just because of tyres / tracking etc.

    Are you a mechanic?

Not directly related to the alignment as such but I've had a few issues with steering angle sensors needing to be recalibrated after alignment. We had one on a 2016 BMW that we tracked twice after fitting a wishbone. The report showed the car was aligned but the car kept pulling........recalibrate the sensor, car drives straight.

Common problem with I40s.Its actually to do with the way they are calibrated.
Its not a brake ecu or a track rod end. No amount of tracking will fix it.

Ive seen them get better so to speak with decent tyres.
Ive also changed tyres froma new one to one with the problem and its still there.

One fix with the Kia Optima(Same as the i40) was to calibrate the steering to Australia market.

Is this something I can do or will i need to bring it to a dealership ?
