Recycling List - Contradictions?

I've been using Greenstar for quite a long time and the new recycling list seems much less broad than the original Greenstar list.

    https://www.greenstar.ie/WIS/wthemes/greenstar/docs/uploads/waste-segregation-and-bin-presentation-guidelines.pdf
This is way less specific and doesn't seem to specify how to identify what plastic wrapping is acceptable/not acceptable

    https://www.greenstar.ie/WIS/wthemes/greenstar/docs/Greenstar-joint-recycling-leaflet.pdf

This one specifically says cling film is acceptable, the other would imply it isn't.

One also says that "Plastic Food Trays / Yoghurt Pots" aren't acceptable, the other seems to imply they are.
Also, would plastic food trays / yogurt pots typically not be one of Plastics (PETE / HDPE / LDPE / PP Only), which is listed as accepted on the same document?!

Then you've https://recyclinglistireland.ie which has even fewer things on it.

So, can I include soft plastics, or can't I include them? If Greenstar are saying they can take them, surely that's fine?

Also, with regard to the compost bin, I had been specifically avoiding putting in paper napkins and teabags as they usually are made with small % of plastic in the weave. Now they're saying they're fine on some sites.

I'm still confused and this is not being communicated very well at all.

Is it a case that the recyclinglist.ie is the lowest common denominator and some companies are able to accept more than others, or what's going on?

Why are there contradictory documents up on websites like this? It's no wonder people are confused about recycling!

The countries that used to take our recycling got fed-up with the junk that was it in and are refusing to take anymore.

Therefore the rules have tightened up and the list on recyclinglistireland is the new standard.

They might consider updating their website at Greenstar then!
