Has anyone done this? Would like to have a slide show and a recorded video shown at meal. Also wondering about the best way to play background digital music during meal. Any advice on speakers for phone/ Ipod/ LAPTOP that would be suitable? I've bought speakers in the past but they were **** really. Wondering about renting better quality ones?

    Sorry if sounds daft ....

Yeah. They have a screen I could use. That's all. It's not a hotel.

Have you asked your dj or band if they can supply speakers for background music?
Most venues have speaker system for speeches that would suffice for bg music.

my venue doesn't but it's quite alternative.
not sure about asking my musician/ dj as it's for the day part, he's only booked for night. maybe someone will have decent speakers i could borrow...

I've often hired speakers to a couple for the day and picked them up on arrival for the night time party. Generally they would pick them up from me and it works out cheaper.

Yes,once you the correct cables to go from your source to the mixer or speakers namely a 1/8 mini jack to phono or 1/4 inch jack. Find a sound hire company in your area and talk to them, they should set you right
