I call them shutters. Have them on both sides of a slatted house built back in 95. Builder advised me to put in troughs and he extended the roof out over them. Funnily enough I never used the troughs for feeding.
They were made on site by local welder. Full width of each bay and about 5ft high using 40x40 box. Hinged about1.5ft from top with a drop bolt at both lower corners. I have plywood or aluminium sheet tek screwed to the lower section inside to save the corrugated sheeting.

Have them on the back of the shed here, about a 4ft sheet on them with the hinge just above middle. 2 bays are strapped together by welding a length of heavy flat from one frame to the other on the outside of the pillar at the bottom, then on one frame the vertical side bar extends up past the sheets another foot or so and is connected to a pipe running to the front pillar. It means you can throw the meal into the back trough then go round and throw out along the front barrier and open up the shutter so everyone gets there head in at the same time and reduces the bullying and a few lads trying to scoff it all

Neighbour has them here on all his slatted sheds. They are great too in that you can open them up fully during the summer or in very wet, clammy weather to improve ventilation.

I have them too, shed is forty years old so have to renew them.
Shed is only 7ft at the eaves so the shutters are only 4ft high by the length of the bay. going to make them from 40mm box, originals were only 25mm box
