    Guys,

Looking to get a spare key for a 2014 Jap Toyota Prius.

I have the spare key blade there, just not the 2 button remote.
Anyone one anyone that can do one for the JDM version?

Funny thing is, I know the manager of one of their branches here in Dublin :)
I’ll send him a text now.

I have the 2 ignition keys though, it’s the little black remote box For opening and closing the doors that I need.

    Thanks.

A dealer may be able to source the JDM key but not sure if they can code it.

Whats the problem with the Jap imports?

Surely Toyota HQ would have the data?

The cars aren't (or at least didnt used to be) EOBD compliant so they may not have the software to talk to the car.

Is it possible for the likes of auto key to clone the existing key? I’m assuming this is keyless start?

Had this problem with an older Jap car .No one could /would fix the car door remote so ended up fitting an after market alarm which came with two new remotes. Got it done by icetronix.

Sorry, is it just a remote for the locking you need so? As in you have a spare key that will start the car?

Remote fob is usually just programmed in by ignition off, ignition on, open the door, stand on your head, close the door type sequence.

Auto key can’t do it as it’s a Jap Import.

It’s a remote fob. It opens/locked the doors. But, it’s also keyless go.
There’s a blade within the fob that will open the doors but no ignition within the car.

Was in with another mate Int toyota today. They can get me a. Ew key and fob, but can’t code it to the car!
