Looking at 2 stoves but one saying it heating 2 more rads than the other yet both advertised as the same kw. Anyone know why this is?

Most likely one of them is non certified and the KW is a guess.
Name the 2 stoves and I’ll tell you which one is true.

Boru and a henleys druid. Would you know how to calculate the rooms per kw?

Both decent stoves to be fair.
You need to calculate it by radiator number and size. To do this accurately you would need to ask a plumber to calculate your BTU requirement.
At an estimate, the 20/21kw version of both stoves should heat 12 single radiators.

    22.6 linear meters of rads
