    Hi all,

Does anyone know whether the diff and the rear axle are the same in petrol and diesel freelancers from 2005?

Don’t know fir certain if they are the same but you can remove the driveshaft and it’ll drive perfectly apart from having 4wd.

And the driveshaft too? No difference in the diff. I have a mate with a petrol freelander with a buggered diff. I can get the complete rear axle and driveshaft very cheaply but it's from a diesel of the same age. Don't want to go to all the trouble to find out it's the wrong one.
