If you can get a broadband service via your phone line, you don't need to get the service from Eir. You can get it from any of the companies who use the same copper like Sky, Vodafone etc. for wired broadband

Vodafone use the same line for broadband as Eir and are cheaper. You don't need a landline with them either.

€35 for 6 months and €40 for 6 months with eir (12 month contract) seems better than

    €25 for 6 months and€ 50 for 12 months (18 month contract) with vodafone.

Over 12 months contract seems crap! I suppose they might change their price and we could get out of a contract.

Looks like price change in last few months. It was cheaper for Vodafone.

East Cork Broadband cover Midleton and are fixed wireless .. so no phone line needed: http://www.eastcork.net/

Depends on what you're looking for.
