Keeping "unwanted" away

So, we have a lot of breakins in the area, We are at the stage where theres plenty of copper to be robbed.

I have gates up, and full boundary outside, When I'm there the huskies are out in force (And they do keep people out), but I prefer not leave them there full time incase they get robbed themselves.

But besides this and locking the house up, does anybody have any ingenious ideas to keep the unwanted away?
