Swirl prepaid mastercard gift card

    Has anyone ordered / used a Swirl prepaid mastercard gift card? My birthday is coming up and my mum in Australia normally orders me an all4one card, however this year I don't know what i want, so would rather not be limited to the stores with all4one. I saw the Swirl cards in a local shop and was wondering if anyone had bought or used one before.

    How do they work. Do you register card in name of person its gifted to, or your name, or not at all.
    Can you simple buy a gift card to what ever value you wish with no name needing to be added to it.

    Tell her to buy you a Dundrum (Town Centre) gift card. Recipient goes to the enquiries desk with the details and they give you a Mastercard with the credit loaded on it. Talk here says you can use it anywhere they take MC so you're good to go.

    Unfortunately I live 3hrs away from Dundrum and in my 10yrs in Ireland have never actually been there :eek::o

    I got a Swirl card.
    Funny thing though I registered it to my gmail account and today got an email from them to me personal email address, not my Gmail account, it's a completely different email server.
    How the hell do these people get my info, my personal email address. I replied and asked them how the hell they got it.
    Checked my gmail account and have confirmation of registered card there as it should be.
