Trying to buy this car battery booster pack, but they wont deliver to Ireland. I tried with a parcel motel address, and address pal but they wont deliver there either. Are there any of those services that can take it?

Batteries/packs are on their list of prohibited articles.

As a last resort DX will ship their unit via NL/SWE.

Officially via ferry. The issue is them going on planes.

In practice thousands go in airmail without incident. Its just the pallets of 50 laptop batteries that are really of concern (see UPS plane that went up).

There isn't a ban on shipping lithium batteries. They're just tightly regulated. And for good reason - in the US alone lithium batteries cause an aircraft fire every 10 days.

Commercial importers can get consignments of lithium battery products into the country no problem because they're already set up to follow the safe packaging, shipping, labeling etc guidelines.

A lot of the recent regulation changes apply to loose single units.

So it's more a case that it's just not worth the hassle for most UK sellers to send you a single unit. It's not worth their while to figure out (and stay up to date with) the regulations and shipping requirements. Or to figure out an alternative method. So they just don't offer it.
