Hi. I was hoping to get some information about third party companies dealing with tax refunds.

Previously I have used the online system on PAYE Anytime but will it give me the full amount that I am owed?

Is it possible to apply for the previous 4 years with a third party company if I already claimed through PAYE Anytime?

Of you apply through PAYE Anytime you'll get the full amount owed. If you go through a third party, you will get less than you are owed.

What else do you think you are entitled to? Do you understand how the tax system works?

There is practically no reason to use any of those companies unless you have additional income to declare or have a complex claim to make. The big sell with these companies is they claim the kudos for doing something anybody who took 5 minutes could do themselves.

They provide these services, because People are willing to forego doing it themselves and paying these Companies.

I cant seem to find the section for claiming uniform costs. Has this benefit been removed?

It's flat rate expenses and it should be there. You have to select your industry and whatever position which covers your job.

    Cheers found it.

Also a bit confused about my PAYE on my payslip. In the past couple of weeks it has been in a minus. This is both before and after I put in my P60 details on PAYE Anytime for tax back.

Should I get in contact with revenue and query this?

I have a basic wage but also get comission so my total pay each week is a different amount.

    Contact whoever processes your payroll.
