Hi guys. I can't really find any info anywhere about this. I live in a house and every night a hear a dog barking from the back of my house. I was just out and all I can hear now is whimpering. It breaks my heart every time I hear him (or her) but today I am concerned with the cold and everything.
I haven't seen the dog nor do I know where it could be. Is there someone I can contact?
Thank you for reading and any advice is welcome.

I would contact the dog warden, give as exact of a location that you can. The dog warden can check to ensure that the dog has adequate food, water and shelter. Explain to the dog warden that you're unable to see the dog but are concerned for its welfare due to the whimpering.

Are you in an urban, suburban or rural setting?
