How do customs test diesel?

    When the customs dip you do they just go by the colour of it or do they do a test to see how much sulphur is in it ?

    Dye, if it's the wrong colour a sample is taken for further testing.

    Don't they use chemical markers as well. The die can be bleached out, hence the toxic waste from fuel laundry, so now they ad chemical markers which can't be removed.

    For the past year or two, green (republic) and red diesel (north) have had a radioactive marker added.
    That's what they test for.
    It is currently impossible to remove this marker.

    Yes there's apparently big big money on offer for whoever can, maybe washing it through a drop of plutonium could do it :pac:..
