    Hi,

Forgive me. I'm a total noob when it comes to cars. I'm trying to replace my battery.

In order to do so I have loosened the two connectors on the battery and also another cable that was bolted to the frame of the car. However, it looks like there is a bracket screwed over the battery itself that is locking it in place. Could someone tell me if this bracket also needs to be removed and is it just the one nut on the left that needs to be removed ? Pic attached.

I don't want to remove too many bolts if they are not required.

    Thanks in advance.

You need to remove the 10 mm nut to the left of photo ,
Then the black pressed steel clamp should bend up to allow battery to come out

also reconnect the wire to the frame of the car with the original bolt this would not need removal for battery changing .
Only disconnect at terminals on the battery.

Focus can be awkward with the palsctic case surrounding the battery but it will unclip apart with a bit of force.

Thanks for the advise guys. There is very little room to maneuver to try and get this battery out. I will follow your suggestions and let you know how I get on.

Thanks, now if only I had the right tool to remove that nut.

They're all 10mm, a spanner from dealz should suffice. The strap holding the battery down has 2 connection points. The one on the left is very easy to access. To access the nut on the right, you need to pop off the plastic trim that encases the battery.
